Champs-Elysées/Porte Maillot/La Défense
La Défense is the main business district in Paris, hosting numerous exhibitions and conferences each year, as does the Palais des Congrès at Porte Maillot. Not far from there is the famous Avenue des Champs Elysées, with the Arc de Triomphe at one end and Place de la Concorde at the other. This is without a doubt one of the longest avenues in the world and strolling along its length, stopping to look in the windows of its many shops, is a popular Parisian pastime.
